Our Purpose:To introduce students to the natural environment of herbs and teach them how to identify herbs in their natural environment.
Course Outline:
Identification of Herbs
Signature of Herbs: Learn the signature of
an herb through it's growing environment, colour, texture, physical appearance -vine, brush, single,
multiple and the herb's uses.Harvesting: when and how?Drying: how, where and for how long?
Storage: how, where and for how long?Uses of herbs identified: spiritual, physical, mental, emotional.
Mediums: salves, oils, teas, tinctures, essences.
Workshops are held within the city as well as in the bush.
The workshops held in the city are generally two days, one day for a
herb identification walk and the other for learning how to make the
different mediums.
The bush workshops are generally 3-4 days. The cost includes your
campsite and classes. You are responsible for your shelter, food, and other essentials.
(It is required that all participants in the camping
workshops sign a waiver.)
